General questions
Are you open at night?
The line is answered 24/7. A water heater or a storm leak does not wait for morning, and a technician is sent as soon as one is free.
Which kinds of water do you handle?
Supply line leaks, water heater and appliance leaks, storm and flood water, roof leaks, sewage backups and mold after water damage.
Leaks and storms
Can a slab leak be found without breaking the floor?
Often it can be narrowed down first. Moisture readings and a thermal camera show where the water has gone, and the technician explains the findings before any opening is made.
Is storm water the same as a burst pipe?
No. Storm and flood water are handled differently from clean supply water, and the technician names the category before drying starts.
Licensing and insurance
Who licenses the work?
The independent licensed company that performs the work holds the licenses its trades require. Contractors are licensed under Chapter 489, and mold assessors and remediators are licensed as individuals under Chapter 468, Part XVI.
Does my policy cover this?
Your policy decides that. Coverage differs between policies and between perils, so read the policy and ask the insurer, and the Florida Department of Financial Services' consumer services division can help with a claim dispute.
